Bali Bender Part 1

I'm back from the Island of Gods and in need of Prozac for some serious post-holiday blue. The downside of any holiday is the imminent end of it. Bali has always been one of my favourite places on earth and I can't wait to go back.

Staying@
Komaneka at Bisma, Ubud, One-bedroom pool villa
The Elysian at Seminyak, Two-bedroom pool villa (got upgraded)

Eating@
Cafe Sari in Ubud (best organic cafe in the middle of a padi field, very lovely place)
The Junction in Seminyak (loveliest Soto Ayam, super cool building, great ambiance)
Metis in Seminyak (supposedly very good but was somewhat disappointing, nice ambiance)

Chilling@
Ku De Ta in Seminyak (no longer cool, acceptable but full of Euro trash and bad music)
Potato Head in Seminyak (my favourite now! Super nice place with great day bed and music)

Shopping@
Jewel Rocks in Seminyak (best beaded bracelets ever)

Surfing@
Legian Beach

Wearing:
Jo Malone Nutmeg and Ginger perfume (stolen from the boy)
Metallic Purple Havaiianas
Black glittery Toms
Lululemon sports bra (super comfy, perfect for sweating it out while walking around)
Yellow slouchy tee from Gap (my fave)
Denim skirt
H&M and Paul Frank Bikinis
Roxy rash tee & boardshorts
Lots of Sunscreen!

Carrying:
Agnes B Silver Glitter tote (perfect for the beach cos it's plastic)

Reading:
Meowmorphosis by Franz Kafka and Cook Coleridge
Wallpaper

Listening to:
Lykke Li "Wounded Rhymes"
Best of Vanessa Paradis

Oh and if you would want some seriously good spa and have some extra money to spare for that, I highly recommend the Kirana Spa in Ubud. One of the top spas in the world. I've been there once and it's so beautiful that if that's heaven, I'll promise to be good. The massage and treatment were exceptional and the best I've had (went there years ago, not this trip).

Anyway, here's part one of the photo for Bali Bender in Ubud

Komaneka Villa @ Bisma

The bathroom for the one-bedroom villa is so huge I can live in there.

Outdoor shower available (with the bugs though)

Private infinity pool for skinny dipping

Footpath to Sari Organic Cafe
Near Jalan Bisma, this scenic footpath leads to the best organic cafe in ubud. We got tipped off by an Aussie couple about this place. Best tip ever! The walk was so scenic with lush green padi field flanking the little footpath, warm afternoon sun and refreshing cool breezes. It was pure joy.

Very lovely walk in the padi fields. Perfect weather with nice breeze. I wanna go there again

An art gallery along the way
And a bungalow for rent along the way

Et Viola! We're at Sari Cafe

View from the cafe

Very yummy organic food. Sari Cafe gives you the option to pick your own veggies for them to whip up a meal too.

So here's Ubud for you. I was only there for 2 days. Part 2 to follow soon.
