A Natural Vitiligo Diet for All
Do you know someone that is suffering from Vitiligo? It's likely you do if you have an interest in Vitiligo related diets. What's apparent about this illness or condition is that there is no cure as such, as of today (January 2013 in case you are reading this a long way in the future). However, there are clearly steps that can be taken that will assure Vitiligo doesn't get out of control and it's symptoms can in many cases be reduced or brought under tolerable control if caught early enough.
Key Factors in Vitiligo Condition
One of the key factors that contribute to Vitiligo development is your environment. Pollution is key to aggravating the condition especially very high levels of air pollution are likely to worsen the condition more than it would in a less polluted environment. There are a couple of solutions you can use to reduce or remove this aggravation: You can protect yourself from the pollution or you can remove yourself from the polluted environment. Sounds simple but moving continents, as some will have to consider, is not always an option. In the long term getting to a place that will provide a healthier environment has to be the best solution if you live in a heavily polluted place.
The next issue you need to deal with is your diet. You do need to seriously consider what you eat and how it may impact your condition. Both the nature of the food you eat and how frequently you eat specific types of food will play a role in how your diet may help or hinder Vitiligo and how much a natural diet will improve Vitiligo. There is a consensus among general practitioners and practitioners of natural healing alternative medicines that certain types of food should be avoided by people suffering with Vitiligo if they want to see improvement in the condition.
When considering a persons diet, with respect to the Vitiligo condition, there are two very important aspects to take into account. The first one, and often over looked, is how many antioxidants you take in on a daily basis, and the second is food allergies. In terms of food allergies, many people develop various allergies through their life and they don't have to be extreme or even noticeable to cause some degradation of Vitiligo or even be part of the trigger to developing the condition in the first place. Minor allergies can play a significant role in triggering this incurable condition.
Antioxidants role in Vitiligo Diets
Antioxidants play a role in disabling free radicals in your body. Here's a snippet of information I found on the internet recently explaining the theory behind antioxidants and free radicals:
"The vitamins C and E, are thought to protect the body against the destructive effects of free radicals. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals by donating one of their own electrons, ending the electron-"stealing" reaction. The antioxidant nutrients themselves don't become free radicals by donating an electron because they are stable in either form They act as scavengers, helping to prevent cell and tissue damage that could lead to cellular damage and disease.
Vitamin E - The most abundant fat-soluble antioxidant in the body and one of the most efficient chain-breaking antioxidants available. Vitamin E is the primary defender against oxidation, primary defender against lipid peroxidation (creation of unstable molecules containing more oxygen than is usual).
Vitamin C - The most abundant water-soluble antioxidant in the body, it acts primarily in cellular fluid. Of particular note in combating free-radical formation caused by pollution and cigarette smoke. Also helps return vitamin E to its active form."

To get the most effective source of antioxidants you need to consume more fresh fruit and obviously those fruits that are rich in vitamins C and E will be best. You should also stay away from grilled foods as much of the content resulting from grilled food will reduce the available antioxidants to the body.
Food allergies usually subside quickly when you remove the bad foods from your diet and replace them with good healthy foods. When food related allergies are removed the body finds its natural balance and you will become very aware that you are feeling well and relaxed and generally at peace with the world. You will probably notice improved sleep too, which often results from a body that is working well and healthy.
Of course, this is not a guarantee that any kind of diet will cure Vitiligo, but you can at least be assured that it will not worsen as a result of bad food, poor diet and food related allergies. You may well experience a significant improvement in the condition as a result of a good Vitiligo Diet as your body becomes more resistant to the root causes of the condition and is better equipped to fight it.
Vitiligo has been related to an autoimmune response from the body and getting your diet right and your condition healthy you stand a very good chance of improving your immune system and correcting its functioning.
One more positive side effect from eating well, you'll end up buying more vegetables and less meat and that should help balance your bank account in favour of eating proper food and removing the
