Simple Tips For Your Skin
Start and learn how to use the 3 step skincare process. Step 1: Cleanse, Step 2: Tone and Step 3: Moisturize.
The first step of the 3 step process is crucial to develop good habits when it comes to skincare. It is important to cleanse your face in order to reduce the bacteria and environmental toxins that we come into contact with everyday. Find a cleanser that works for you. What I mean by that is find one that you will use. A cleanser can be the best product ever and If you don't like the smell of it, you're not going to use it. If that is the case, what good is the product to you? If you are sensitive to smells then look for a cleanser that is unscented. Also, if you have dry, normal or oily skin don't be afraid to try an oil based cleansing product. Contrary to popular believe using an oil based cleanser does not necessarily make your skin more oily.
The second step is to tone your skin. For those who have very dry skin and live in a dry climate be aware that it is not necessary to tone your skin everyday. In this case tone about 2 to 3 times per week and stay away from toners that are alcohol based as they can excessively dry out your skin. This can irritate the skin and cause it to itch, flake and be uncomfortable.
Finally, the third step is moisturizing. It is important to find a moisturizer that feels good on your skin. If you have extremely dry skin and it is winter time, don't be afraid to use a night cream during the day under your makeup. Don't get stuck on night creams being just for the night time and day creams being just for the day time. If your skin needs the extra moisture then accommodate it by using a product that will hydrate it properly. So if your skin is looking dry and blah, add more moisture. Slather on a rich, super moisturizing cream to instantly hydrate and plump skin. Your skin will love you for it and look better as a result.
Also, diet and nutrition can affect the skin's appearance. To help support healthy skin, eat plenty of fresh fish (with Omega 3), add some flax seeds to your breakfast cereal and increase your essential fatty acid intake. Try supplements like Vitamin E. Just these few nutritional steps do more than fix your dry skin: they're also natural cures for everything from stomach problems to heart disease.
With just these few skincare tips you can be on your way to having healthy glowing skin that others will envy.
