Top 10 must-have makeup brushes | Beauty101 | Episode1

Hey beauties!

So I decided to start a weekly (if I can keep that schedule up haha) series: Beauty 101! This is where I will try to help you build your makeup kit, on a budget, because good beauty products don't necessarily have to be expensive.

Today we will start the series off with Episode 1: My top 10 must-have brushes you will need in order to be able to create every makeup look possible.

Let's get started:

Face brushes

1. Foundation brush: for a perfect, flawless and full coverage finish:
ZOEVA 102 Silk Finish brush: round top, super soft, yet dense. (12$)

2. Powder brush: for a fast and soft powder application all over the face:
Ebelin Powder Brush: big, fluffy, soft (5$)

3. Concealer blending brush: to perfectly cover up those breakouts and blend out the under eye area
Ecotools Airbrush Concealer Brush: fluffy, soft, airbrush finish (6$)

4. Bronzer / Blush brush: a versatile brush which you can use to apply any powder product
This brush came in a 10$ brush kit (11 brushes)!
Buy it HERE - I own this one since 2014 and it's still perfect. Really worth the 10 bucks, trust me.

5. Fan brush: to apply highlighter
This came in a 32piece brush kit which cost 18$!
BUY IT HERE - I own this kit since 2015, you get a leather case with it and many great brushes. The price is unbeatable so it doesn't hurt to throw away the few brushes that aren't that good!

Now this is technically not a brush so I won't count it in but honestly, to slay your foundation game, you NEED a beautyblender.
This is a little pricy but totally worth it. This is my second one and my first one lasted me a year, but if you take good care and wash them gently and often they will probably last way longer!
Beautyblender Pro (currently at sale for 16$!)

Eye brushes

1. Blending/Crease brush: to blend in your crease color, blend out any other color, soften the look
Ebelin Blending brush: soft, fluffy (3$)

2. Packing brush: to pack that shimmer shadow on over the entire lid, to darken the crease.
This brush came in the same 10$ brush kit (11 brushes) as number4 of the face brushes.
Buy it HERE - I own this one since 2014 and it's still perfect. Really worth the 10 bucks, trust me.

3. THE domed shadow brush: shade and define, an all-around-brush
Bought this in the Real Techniques Travel Essentials Kit  (3brushes, 18$)

4. Small outer/inner corner brush: precise application, dense round brush, small, perfect for a 'halo' eye look.
This is an Essence brush and I bought it a few years ago at DM, but I don't think it's still being sold.

5. Glitter/Shimmer shadow packing brush: a synthetic brush you can wet to apply any loose shimmer or shimmer eyeshadow. crucial.
This came in the same 32piece brush kit, as Face brush number5, which cost 18$!
BUY IT HERE - I own this kit since 2015, you get a leather case with it and many great brushes. The price is unbeatable so it doesn't hurt to throw away the few brushes that aren't that good!

Aaaand that's it!

Thank you guys for reading and don't hesitate to suggest some topics I could use to continue this series Beauty101.
These will always be short and straight-forward.
Hope you enjoyed!

Looove,
xx nathi😘
